Greetings to you all and a very Happy New Year.
During 2010, many things took place in the world, some great, some not so great. The media tend to focus on the negative. Although it may be true, bad news can drag us down. We need good news to build us up! Jesus Christ is the Good News.
The visit of Pope Benedict was good news, because he spoke and proclaimed the things that really matter - the things of God. He made it very clear that Religious beliefs enhance our world and give meaning to our purpose for living.
On a local level, we have been working together since September 2010 as Parishes in Communion. This is great news, because we have one objective, the spreading of the Gospel. Within our group of Parishes, we have lots of talents, indeed every person has a talent.
We are still in the early days of this new adventure and with all of us continuing to work together, we are people of Good News.
